With the ongoing success of canadiandesi.com a few of us decided that it would be a good idea to add an Arts and Culture section to this popular site. In this section we intend to promote and explore the rich traditions and accomplishments of artists involved in South Asian arts and culture in Canada. We would also like to focus on the South Asian cultural scene in Canada through frequent online interviews (where members can participate) with personalities and experts who are involved in the various South Asian/fusion arts and cultural activities in Canada (primarily) and elsewhere. Topics will encompass fine arts, performing arts, music, literature and other cultural events and activities. Hopefully, the information on this section will encourage more people to participate and start/continue education in the rich artistic and cultural traditions of South Asia. It will also be helpful to new immigrants who want to pursue these fields in Canada.

Please note that the guests who will take part in the online interviews are doing so on a purely voluntary basis and as much as they will try to answer your questions they may not be able to devote as much time, as they would like, to all your queries.
