i needed to carry some ayurvedic medicines with prescription (like chyavanaprasam, medicated oils). is there any restrictions to take such items through the canadian airports. i have heared tht they don’t alow items like pickles so asking this.

There is no restriction for bringling medcines along with you. Infact people are encouraged to bring medicines as there is a waiting period for free medical cover for 3 months. You may have to declare this at the customs counter and if the bottles are factory sealed with contents are indicated outside will help.
