Hi
I have some questions about SAP & Oracle and the job opportunities that it presents.
-What are the job opportunities in Canada/US?
-How much does it cost to get certified?
-Are there any companies in GTA that train and then provide job placements in US/Canada?
-Are these courses too technical i.e. similar to C, C++?
-What are the preferred work/academic backgrounds that are required (or good) for grasping/understanding these courses?

The SAP community in Canada is rather small as compared to the US. Certification will take you a long time, may be a couple of years of industry experience.
There are both technical and non technical aspects of SAP, depends what you want to get in to. If you only want to be a functional analyst, no technical expertise is needed (in terms of knowledge of any programming language).
Like any other field, it is a bit hard to get your first job in SAP. In the US they have tons of desi consultants who will train you for free and help you put fake experience on your resume. Billing rate will vary with the experience, but is usually $70-$100 per hour with 3-5 years of experience.

Oracle market is almost dead in Canada for the last few days. Though I hear it is making a comeback in US. Either way, end of next yr you will know if the market takes off and it will depend on how Oracle delivers its new product.
