Good information, in fact, great information and am sure will go a long way in helping me take a decision.
There is just one query which remains unanswered, which is, does my canadaian immigrant status fetch me any fee discounts ?
Thanks again guys....

No they generally dont consider this.
Just be grateful you are not a international student. I think they pay 3 X the amount a regular resident of Canada !!

If you are a canadian immigrant, then you will have more access to scholarships/loans. Also, you don't have to worry about health insurance. If you have a choice, then it's better to be an immigrant. Regarding fees, there is no difference in fees for international students or canadian immigrants or citizens for most of the MBA programs, but you can check the fees details on the individual school website.

Why you want to choose canadian unversities if you are geting admission in INSEAD or LBS?

Hey ash,
I am weighing all my options at the moment... doing the necessary spadework.... As i said earlier too, that even though I want to do the MBA from a top tier school, cost is still a big consideration, as for INSEAD or LBS one has to shell out a cool 60K USD just for tuition fee.
Someone told me that being a canadian immigrant, I could lay claim to some subsidised education in canada. Thats the reason I thought of writing on this forum and understanding this option further. Idea is to see if there is something available in canada where I can save on fee costs without compromising too much on the quality.
It will be nice to hear from someone who is actually doing MBA from one of these schools.
I must say the feedback so far, from fellow CDs, including yourself, has been really helpful. Really appreciate that (y).

Cheers,
JSethi

I did my MBA from Queen's - so I can tell you abt that. MBA is fully privatised at Queen's and there is no fee difference between Canadians and Foreigners. PR status helps you in raising loans and does not reduce the fees.

I am currently working in IT field in a full time job. I would like to know if I am eligible for OSAP if I want to do an MBA (I currently make more than 36K per annum which is the income cut off to be eligible for OSAP. But once I join MBA, I will have to resign my job since I am planning to do MBA fulltime.)

I don't want to resign my full time job without being sucessfull in getting OSAP loan sanctioned. But if I don't quit my job, since I am making more than the minimum income cut off for OSAP will I not be eligle for OSAP? How to approach this problem?

I am in a full time IT position making more than 36K per year. Will I be eligible for OSAP if I want to do full time MBA?

Do I have to resign and apply for OSAP or can I wait to see if they approve my OSAP application before resigning my job? In such a case(if I apply for OSAP while I am still in the job) will the fact that I am making more than 36K per year negatively affect my OSAP application.
