Ipen a checking a/c with President's Choice Financial - no service charges & free cheque books. They also have a saving a/c with high int. rate (4% as of July 15, with a min. bal. of $1000). Once you open an a/c, you'll get a debit card right away. All PC a/c's can be operated from CIBC ABM's without service charges.

You require a regular chequing account with another bank to operate ING Investment Savings Account.

If you are an international student .........bear in mind you might need proof of funds and stuff like that when you will be extending your visa or converting to a work permit.

PC as such does not give you stuff like that. I have had problems as such with them ............although this is going back a while. SO just check about those things as well.
