Hi friends !

I am from Toronto.
I wanan to purchase a laptop for personal use ?
Is it safe to shop on ebay.ca and are there good deals over there ?

wat about bestbuy or futureshop ?

Which is better Toshiba, DELL, COMPAQ, Gateway or else ?

I want P 4 and DVD burner too in it.
My budget is upto $700

Ur guidance will be really appreciated.

you should try dell they are really good computers and have good sales going on you can buy it from http://www.dell.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK do not buy from ebay they might be used you never know go for dell i have good experience with them

Beware of Dell customer service....
buy the laptop if you may, the products arent too bad, but the customer service is far worse than what i have been reading here about ICICI.
to cut the long story short, it has the worst possible customer service......
If you are looking for a good deal, check MDG too....
I personally believe futureshop, etc. are more expensive than they should be.....

(I do own a Dell laptop, and have been using it for almost an year without any technical problems as such....)

for 700$ you wont get a NEW P4 and a DVD burner..

HP and DELL are low budget and reliable and IBM is High budget and reliabel

Generall Toshiba and Fujitsu are considered good laptops with HP, COmpaq , Dell too in a good range. So any branded laptop will be fine.

I suggest you keep an eye open for deals and then go for it., otherwise 700 bucks will not fetch a good laptop

Thanks for your advice.

I have now increased my budget upto Cdn$ 1300/-.

I think MDG and Bestbuy/Futureshop are good options.

Will u comment.

With your budget DELL could be a good option.
If you decide to buy DELL always look for coupons where you can get more discount.
Check out this link regularly for the coupons for all major shops(like futureshop etc)
