Hi
I am new in canada thats why I yet to clear about EI and social assistance If any of you have any idea, please share with me that will helpful to make a decision. Right now I am doing a survival job but I am not interested to continue this. I wanna do some courses in my accounting field. In that case if I complete 900 hours Can I get EI assistance and social assistance? If I elegible for both, at the time of calculation for Social assistance will they deduct EI assistance amount? If I do some short courses EI or social will help me?
Another information I need that is Co-op program. How I can get this program? I am living Finch and Islington intersection is there any Co-op provider centre near to me?
would appreciated to reply my unknown information
See http://www.canadiandesi.com/read.php?TID=752&page=1#2776.
You will find many more links if you do "Search in Charcha."
Try contacting your nearest HRSDC center, they will be able to provide all the details regarding EI. See http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/en/home.shtml
You have to be "laid off" from work to claim EI.
You can contact your nearest community center/newcomer information center/United Way/India Rainbow Center to find out about co-op programs in various fields.
