I need to know the procedure and processing time for brith registration and canadian passport for new born . We will be travelling within a few weeks after the birth .

Hi,

Birth registration took about 8 weeks (applied first week of March, recd. in mid-June). Birth certificate which you need for the passport came in another week. For passport, you can pay $25 to get an "expedite" letter (we did pay it)and the passport came in 1 week (records of sorts............).


Now awaiting SIN and CCTB.
