After many many hours of wondering, I have finally figured out the root cause of this love / hate relationship people have with Canada.
I believe many people are living in exile. They consider __________(insert Orig Country here) as home. And they are living in Canada like they have been exiled. I wonder how many CDs have adopted Canada as their new home.

No need for discussions. No need for comment. But do cast a vote.

Only 9 Desi's? Maybe that is the problem. Only 9 desi's slinging mud at each other. The rest just sit by and watch the tamasha.

I don't think I am living in exile but at the same time I don't see Canada as home too. I moved to Canada about 15 months back and I really really tried to like the place but I just don't like it. Canada has been good to me. I got a job within 15 days of coming here. There is something about the country that I just don't like. And I am not a very demanding guy too. I have been all over Europe. The cities there were much better. Cleaner, better public transit, better, friendlier people, way more natural beauty, way better quality of life. I don't know if u guys noticed but both Toronto and Vancouver have a very poor city kinda look to them. When you go out, you don't feel like you are in a first world western country. TTC is flithy, people are totally indisciplined. They throw garbage anywhere and everywhere, driving standards are pathetic (what amazes me is the BS the govt. gives about graduated drivers licensing system) and the speed limits on the highways are pathetically stupid. 100kmph? gimme a break! whats the point of designing and making hi speed expressways if people are going to be restricted to 100kmh? Whats the point about graduated licensing system if you don't have confidence in your drivers? But after looking at the driving standards, I think the speed limit should be lowered! I felt safer driving at 190kmph in Germany then I do at 100kmph over here. The car scene is bloody pathetic here. The GM's, Fords and Honda's are soo boring to look at and so boring to drive. And automatic transmissions are for wimps. And people here proudly say they don't know how to drive manual! Which world are these people in!! India banned mobile phones while driving 2 years back. Canada is just beginning to discuss about it. So much for India being a third world country. And while we are at mobiles, why not ban coffee drinking while driving? But no, no one will talk about that cuz even the police chief sips coffee while diriving i guess. Like someone i know said, Canada Gaon.
