Well I suppose that comment is backed by the fact that you also read (Regularly) the news from countries like nigeria, ethiopia, indonesia, vietnam, zambia and so many such countries where people still live in jungles or very remote villages - may be even china.

Or you have yourself seen the villages of such countries and no such things happen there.

hey Chandresh, i would atleast expect u to know that the reason behind my screen name . And for others who arent aware of the reason ...i took on that id after my husband who has been a member of this site long before me "Mishtar india".

Also, If u'll look back u'll notice a smiley next to both my statements on 'happens only in india' so pls take it in the spirit its been stated.

No MI, I did not mean it that way.
Looking at happenings like this, people (only of this forum) would have thought that it must have happened in TN while it luckily did not . Otherwise there would have been even more redicule of TN as if TN only had all the social evils in India.
It could happen anywhere, even maybe in TN.
I acknowledge that female infantcide is highly prevalent in TN apart from other states in India.
This is the belief of Hindu's and i respect that feeling just as i would expect people to respect my religion and other religions.
