“….Maintra knew all of Pramod Mahajan's secrets, particularly about his financial dealings and relationships”
Even though they are not admitting it , it looks like a case of drug overdose. A packet containing white powder has been recovered.
Papa had lots of money through his political career and son enjoyed his fathers money on drugs!
Just my assumption.

Sidenote : He has been on anti-depressents since for the past 3 years. The doctor says some other reason for his taking that. Time will tell the truth.

The latest news is that Rahul really did snuff Cocaine as per this article : http://www.ndtv.com/topstories/showtopstory.asp?slug=%27Rahul+Mahajan+snuffed+cocaine%27&id=19516&category=National
It looks like it is either an overdose or some countraband stuff.
Even if he recovers, he can kiss his political ambitions good bye !!!!

The latest news is that there "was no cocaine" in his blood sample. All the four who were with him at that time have surrendered in the presence of their lawyers (why they have to bring their lawyers??). Tests show some poisoning of the secretary Maitra. This is really getting hotter.

"In a volte-face, Delhi's Apollo Hospital on Sunday disclosed that traces of cocaine and a cocktail of drugs have been found in the urine sample of Rahul Mahajan although Dr Anupam Sibal stood by his Saturday's statement that the late Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan's son had tested negative for drugs, but at the same time, revealed that urine sample tested at a well known private lab found traces of a cocktail of drugs, including cocaine."
