Hi Parth,

Every situation is different when it comes to new immigrant who do not have job in Canada but would like to buy a house here on the basis of US job and or credit history. I have helped my clients in getting mortgage in new immigrant catagory with reduced down payments provided they can prove their job, income and or good credit history in US / Canada.

If you like, you can email me your details at and I can advise you accordingly. The details required are Length of job, position held, experience in similar job, salary (income), the date of PR in Canada, down payment from your own savings available and the cost of the house you are looking to buy. Rest assured that all the information will be treated confidential and without any obligation.

Hi Parth1970,

How do you pay your taxes if you are living in Canada and working in US (H1b)? Does the company you work for withheld US taxes?
