i am still waiting for my wife's passport. we submitted it on 31st August 2012 and we are still waiting for the passport.
What is the expiry date printed on your wife's visa? is it the medical date or normal time?

Thank you. She has 6 months to be in Canada. The visa will expire in August, 2013. I believe they process case by case. I would recommend to email to Canadian embassy and see if they can response to your email.

I am trying to check the online status of my wife's application and i see this message that our file cannot be found.
I called up CIC to see what was wrong and they mentioned that they are facing a technical problem. did any of you see this issue?

Posting for a friend and have following questions:
-Friend is PR and currently in india getting married.
-He is not back after marriage until about 2-3 months or may be more.
Question is:
-can i send him forms or he can print them and fill out and i can mail on his behalf to CPC or does he need to be back in Canada before applying?

Hi Guys,
Has anyone applied under family category from abu dhabi office(in last 1 yr or so).Just wanted to know the time frame.I know cic site says 22 months.But i heard that most of them cases are finalized in 12 months or so just need to double check .Reply will be highly appreciated

Hi Guys,
I applied to sponsor my wife in Jan 2012, at that time the total processing time at Mississauga office was 3 months and at New Delhi 6 months, but by the time my file reached CHC New Delhi, they increased processing time at New Delhi to 10 months. Now, with all due respect, 10 months are also over, as they asked to submit passport to CHC New Delhi at the fag end of Jun 2012. I am wondering, as to what is happening in our case, as they don't even reply to the e-mails sent to them, it is pure hostile situation, as my wife & me, both are struggling as to where to start our lives, and we are nowhere.
I got in touch with my local MP office, who called up CHC New Delhi, and to MP office also they have given the time of 90 days to reply, as they call it norm. Correct me if I'm not wrong, are these the traits of a developed country, where you migrate with all your degrees and qualification, first up, you don't get decent jobs, and when you sponsor your spouse, they make you wait like crazy. I am sorry to be very crude but am sure everybody can understand my situation. Has anyone else is in similar situation as mine.

My situation is also the same
My timeline is
application submitted to cpc mississauga - 6th march 2012
sponsor approval on july 16th
file transferred to new delhi on 16th july
passport request from new delhi office to my wife on 31st august 2012
passport submitted on 6th september 2012
so far, no news, nothing about the visa
i ordered caips report, which shows she passed all the eligibilities and only pending things are security and criminal checks.
waiting with lot of patience... from long..
