Hi Amit,

Thanks for your reply.

Looking at the EQAO results and fraser institute results, we rented a place near Erin mills Parkway when we moved from US last month. We are totally disappointed with the school as my child is losing interest in the school itself.

Even though, she was identified as Gifted child(with a result of 99% in the exams conducted by the peel board) within a couple of weeks after she joined in the school, the IPRC(Individual Planning and Review committee) is asking me to go for another meeting in 6 weeks. In certain schools, there is a separate class room for gited kids. After 6 weeks only, I would know whether my child will be moved to those schools.

I noticed that the curriculum standard is low here as whatever my child learnt in 5th grade is taught in 7th or 8th grade here.

Now when we are thinking of buying a house, we are really concerned what factors to look for good schools.

Pl. guide us.

Thanks.

Come and see me one of these days at my office and we can talk more about buying you a home in a good school district.

Thanks,

You are right to some extent Ray, low income apartments, but the demography of Meadowvale is changing fast. Miller's Grove, Tours area, Edenwood Dr. etc. is home to many top professionals. One can find homes that might be extensively renovated or basic homes can be bought for a good price and later refurbished to the buyer's taste and budget.

Many Meadowvale Office professionals from companies like GE, Microsoft, RBC , Techdata etc. are moving into this area of Mississauga because of better affordabilty.

yes there are parts of meadowvale that are nice - others around Glen erin / Battleford that aren't , however some of the nicer areas overlap the same school borders as the not so nice - so be wary when chosing in this area.

The johns fraser area is great ( i live there) and highly recommend to anyone who wants a nice safe area to raise kids
