Dear Friends
Please share your experiences, suggestions regarding on line trading websites for Indian share markets from Canada.
What are the requirements to do on-line trading from Canada?
Is there any special requirements for NRI's to do on line trading from Canada?
Any experiences about Sharekhan website (www.sharekhan.com) and other on-line trading portals?
Your suggestions are highly useful to other CDs also, as Indian share market is doing well.
Thanks to all of you for sharing.

Contact the nearest Sahrkhan branch in India. Their rep will help you to open account with them. similarly you need to open a bank account Say HDFC . You can transfer the money to and fro between sharekhan and HDFC . You can buy the shares. Similarly you can transfer the money in to HDFC when ever you sell the shares . You can do all on line except opening the accounts with the Bank and Sharekhan.
I have been trading regularly with sharekhan and have had no problems. Their research reports are good and and very profitable. The only shortcoming is that you will be able to trade only thru the NSE online and use the telephone if you want to trade thru BSE.
Happy investing!

Dear Rajuu
Thank you for your reply. You information is really a valuable one for me.
Can I use this sharekhan account from Canada also? presently I am in India and I am ready to open account with Sharekhan.
Is there any problem in future if I change my status to NRI. Is it necessary to inform the HDFC and sharekhan about my status.
Please give me your advise.
Thank you.

Please give your status details to Sharekhan and the bank ( HDFC) , and they are the right people to tell you how to operate the account as NRI ,legally.
When I opend the account, i was residant Indian. Now iam not trading due to want of funds .
If you open finally ,I suggest to transact in the presence of sharekhan rep and note down the operating procedures . Later change all the passwords .
