hello all,

Presently Im n Sydney , Australia doing post graduate diploma in optometry and planning to move to a Canadian uni for masters.
will it be possible to lodge a student visa from sydney or shd i go to India? I will be completing the course here only by April 2004.Will there be enough time after that if I lodge from India after that for fall admission ? I am unsure about the time taken for visa processing.

you can read more about the precautions etc about these things on the site <www.cic.gc.ca>. It also lists that the agencies etc cannot effect the immigration and visa process in the embassy in any way.

But every individual has his own case and everyone is free to act after considering all the alternatives.

So, the CAUTION -- 440 VOLTS should be the guiding factor while dealing with agents..

If you read the posts carefully, Sheri isn't asking about hiring a consultant nor is they trying to sell their services to her.

She just asked for some advice and they obliged.

So I don't understand the relevance of your post. Please be careful in naming companies and making accusations that you can't substantiate. It goes against the spirit of this site. We had a big discussion regarding this today anyways. Check out

If you personally have been wronged and want to write about it on this forum, please make your identity and details of your case be known. Include details and dates of correspondence with the business where you feel you have been wronged. Also if you have links to any legitimate news sources like newspapers, magazines etc. that may add more weight to your post, please provide those specific links.

Or you're free to post your opinions without naming anyone. i.e. If you have a bone to pick with consultants, just say consultants, don't name a specific one. I'm sure there may be a some consultants doing some good work also, there's always two sides to a coin.

Let's not forget the ultimate purpose of Canadiandesi here. It is to help people who are trying to immigrate and/or settle down in Canada. It is also to bring our desi community together so that we can march onward onto bigger and better things. Let's all work together for this purpose.
