Did anybody watch Montel Williams talk show yesterday?

The topic of discussion was dating. One of the guys introduced by Montel Williams was a guy called Gautam.

Montel said Gautam is a very very successful person living in California probably LA. He could not find a date. So he created a website saying he was willing to be a sugar daddy. Many women replied. He chose one woman named Christy. He paid $10 to 12 K allowance for her every month. He took her with him on his business trips. She would spend anywhere between 15 to 20 k on shopping (excluding monthly allowance) He has taken her to Europe, Asia nad many other places. After dating for few months, they decided to date exclusively and yesterday he proposed her on Montel show.

I didnt watch the show in question. However this sounds like the guy thinks he can 'buy ' anything or anyone. I also cant believe a woman would allow herself to be degraded like this.

i think this just shows people think money can buy anything. Unfortunately It cant buy them true love. Both of these two are just after their own interests. :( What happens if/when the money runs out?

on a final note.. a young..single very rich guy..and he cant get a date?? Whats wrong with him that he had to buy a love life???

harsh.. but true??

Most of these are for sensationalism and nothing more. I would find it hard to believe their marriage would last, maybe it will, until the guy runs out of money. If she is capable of spending upto 20K on top of the monthly allowance, the only motive for dating and/or marriage is money.

And you can only imagine what his motives are ;)

Have you seen the "reality" show The Bachelor? It's the same cheap show. These girls swoon at the bachelor and claim they are madly in love with the dude. Give me a break. Although, good for the guy to some point.

Some of them are in for publicity. That Firestone guy, I think it was Andrew Firestone he chose the girl, got engaged and then broke off the engagement. The girl was back as bachelorette for the next show. He got a lot of publicity and some celebrity status without sweating. I watched few bachelor shows initially when the concept was new. Now I am disgusted when i see the show.

hehehe ... did anyone know what happened after the (paris) bachelor's finale few weeks back ?
Yea, the doctor guy selected some girl from TN (guess his home town).

On the very next day, I read the news somewhere that the couple called it a quit. They split. Yes, on the very next day their finale was telecasted.

Bottom line, money can't buy love !

Back to reality show, Trump's The Apprentice is good. Though it's a show, it teaches me a lot.

I remember seeing his ad in the newspaper sometime ago.

I dont know if this is any different from guys/gals looking to marry people living in western countries or getting married to a well settled spouse etc. Even having the requirement to get married to a highly educated person (since education is often linked to earning capacity) amounts to the same thing, does it not?.

So how come its degrading in this instance? More direct? Probably.

It was mentioned in the ad that if things did not work out they would part amicabily. So I guess it all worked out for the sugar daddy. As long as it works for the people in question...seems fair to me.
