I used to pay $42 for one year for locker at CIBC in Calgary. Small size locker.

Definitely keep your jewellery & other things in the locker.

Perhaps we can all add r bit and as BL is 2 make this sticky can serve the whole readership. I wud like 2 know :

1. As credit cards can b stolen from the letter boxes what precautions can b taken besides a padlock ?

2. While securing ur house on a regular basis while going out what better arrangements can b implemented . ?

The other day someone was telling me that Canada is a crime free country! Was he wrong?

Stealing a credit card can't be as simple as intercepting someone's card in the mail. If that were the case, a few of Canadapost's employees would have been millionaires.

A mailed card is not activated. To be able to activate it, one needs to know personal information of the card holder, including but not limited to birth dates and / or a personal security question.

In regards to the OP, don't standard tenancy agreements require 'property insurance' to be obtained by the tenant, including coverage to cover any public liability?
