Oracle Applications Functional Consultant Jobs
|
Hello,
I know that this a very personal issue which I am bringing on the forum.
I currently live in Middle East and working as an Oracle Applications Functional Consultant.
I already resigned my job to move permanently to Canada (as the 3 year time period to maintain residency is expiring). Meanwhile, I have got a possible new job opportunity (probable salary of CAD 100K).
Would like to have views from people migrated from Middle East on their experiences in getting job in Canada and life out there

You can ask me any questions you have. Yes, I fit the profile i.e work in Oracle Financials area and migrated from Middle East. Though I worked as an accountant in Middle East and made a career change in canada. The salary you mentioned seems about right considering the fact that you have some experience in Oracle apps area in Middle East. Is the offer from one of the Big 5?

Hi,
I missed to mention that the offer is in Middle East only, and not in Canada
I actually want to know the job prospects in Canada and the salary scales, to make a decision on whether to move to Canada or not.
Regards

The salary range will depends on how well you negotiate. What level do you come in the comapny. e.g. generally the levels are Consultant, Sr. Consultant, Manager, Sr. Manager. So based on your qualification and experience they will give you a level. You can expect to be at consultant or Sr. Consultant level if you have few yeras experience in Oracle Fin with some good qualification. I am not too familiar with the going rate but you could get between 75 to 120k. The rates are higher in US but you will not be able to work in the US at least for the first year. Send me your e-mail address and I will give you the names of recruiter etc.

Lana,
You can send me email on
My profile in brief : Chartered Accountant from India, OCP - developer Track + more than 6 yrs implementation and Support experience (currently working on 11.5.10.2 release).
The salary part looks comfortable, but the job prospects is of concern (do they consider Middle East Apps experience)
cheers

Refrer to your e-mail I am going to send you the names of recruiters. You can e-mail your resume to recruiters and get their feedback. The only problem I see is your contact #. You may have to call them.

Do you work as functional or technical resource?
Can you give me brief background about you like and how did you manage to get OF-Functional position?
I am too and OF-Functional guy presently in India with PR valid.
