Am planning for transferring my credits to a canadian university (after immigration)... and i seek your help CDs regarding student loans....

any links or any advice...... please post some guidelines

Each University has a student aid office that can help you apply for student loans, bursaries and scholarships that might be available.
In Canada, there are many bursaries and scholarships that NEVER get paid out..because no one applies for them! The career counsellor can help you with that.

Secondly you cangoogle it: Just type in "Canada Student Loans" and also "(name of provincie) student loans"
Most apps are now available online.

As far as i know, for landed immigrants, OSAP is available but for that you need to have 1 year residency here in Ontario (if seeking admission in Ontario)

I am planning to start university in Sep 06... so would i be eligible for any kind of govt. provincial loans?

Am seeking information regarding Bursary... but the clause of one year is... !

Student Loan (only the Federal Protion) yes
Bursaries No, they are from Provincial quota or Queen Elizabeth Foundation...for them you have to live in the same province for 12 months or in Canada for 12 months. They are granted on your financial needs which can be eastiblished after you have stayed in for 12 months.
Therefore your loan amount will reduce to almost 40% what a immigrant or citizen may get for similar program duration.

Am applying for a transfer undergraduate course, and i would be only completing the two years of my remaining program in canada as a full time student...
