Tamilkuravan,
Sri Lankan tamils are originally from India, if u remember history. They are no different from tamils from Tamilnadu. MGR was a Sri Lankan tamil. He became the CM. Note that the current CM, Jaya, is an Iyengar from Mysore, Karnataka. What next? Rajnikant aka Shivajirao Gaikwad, a Maharashtrian, could be the next CM of Tamilnadu.
U think there are no tamils from India in Scarborough? hehe u must be joking.
Tamils need to come out of their imaginary cocoon.

Small Correction:
M.G.Ramachandran (MGR) was a Malayalee from Sri Lanka. He was a Menon.
Jayalalithas mother was an Iyengar, while the father was the younger brother of the Maharaja of Mysore, who was murdered in Mumbai.
Mr.Rajnikanth, also known as Shivaji Rao Gaikwad, was a marathi, born and brought up in Karnataka, who made his career in Chennai.
Recently Sarath Kumar (Nadar by caste)had mentioned that in Tamil Movies the Super Star would always be from outside the state, the reason being if he is from the state people will start identifying with his religion, caste, sub-caste and hence there will be a group for him and another group against him.Examples being MGR, Rajnikanth while more talented people like Sivaji Ganesan (Thevar)Kamalhassan (Brahmin-Iyer)are playing second fiddle.
If you see the Sri Lankan Tamil culture, it is reflective of their past. Which incidentally was the Indian Tamils past. We in India used to have this kind of culture, which changed during the early 1900's after the arrival of DK, DMK, AIADMK, MDMK and list goes so on. In a nutshell the Srilankan Tamil culture is like seeing our erst-while Indian Tamil culture as a flash back in a movie. Look at how many of them are learning music, bharatnatyam, going to temple and celebrating all the festivals like Pongal and so on...

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
Hai,
My posting was only to tell DIO that Sri Lankan tamils are different in culture to the South Indian Tamils and that is all.
I was wrong to state the statement about IQ level /Labourer job which offended some in CD forum.
I am sorry for my statement and regret this incident.
Thanks
TK
