Recently I sold my townhouse after we moved to a slightly bigger place. We sold it on our own. When the word got out the we are selling, one of the families from Pakistan we know (kids go to same school) approached us to buy. Since we knew them for the past 3 yrs, we reduced the price considerably. But the guy wanted to buy at the same price we bought the place. He kept on pestering us for few weeks. But finally his wife opened up saying that the intention of her husband was to buy the place and sell it immediately at the market price. Basically make a quick buck.

So folks be careful when u r selling the property. May be go thru the broker.

Oh...come on. The guy may pester you, but ultimately it's upto you to sign on the dotted line. Worst case, you spoil your relations. But if the guy is behaving that, I wouldn't want to maintain relations with them anyways.

Right on. Not that I like the guy. The kids and wives are friends. So I have to put up with his crap for a while. Thanks to the lady, who spilled the truth abt him (she is totally pissed off with him on this issue).
