Can someone pleae guide me here.
I am going thru a bunch of resumes and one of them has the text \"Certification in Computer Science from Indira gandhi National University, India\". Not sure what it is and where it is. The candidate has not specified whether any accreditions been done.
Any suggestions?

It's an Open University which was established in Delhi atleast around 10-12 years ago. If I remember correctly most of their courses were by correspondence (or distant education as we call it here)
The idea was that anyone irrespctive of age could attend this 'University'

Yes it is accredated university our president is chancellor of this university.

Now I am getting the jist of it.
If they are offering correspondence courses, would there be hands on training to get certifiication in computer science? Like the one we have in regular universities/colleges? I would like to help this guy to get a foothold. I can't contact him directly.

I don't know about IGNOU, but I know of other correspondence courses which have tie-ups with local institutes for hands-on training.
As regards contacting the guy, I can do that on your behalf
....as long as you don't land me in trouble.
