Why in world should I be thanking anyone? BL and I have simply volunteered to be moderators and I particularly help by contributing and moderating when needed. If you have the guts, the sincereity and the goodwill of devoting your time for some social work,, why don't you contact GG to become a moderator (though I sincerely doubt you even qualify for that since you have chosen a path to simply mutilate languages even though you know them well).
So shouldn't it be the other way round?

Read my post again pls. My children seek blessings in a specific way not because I forced them to. It was their own choice. It showed tremendous maturity and class on my daughter's part and I am extremely proud about her. My mention of kissing in public was as regards to some people showing superiority of culture by judging these acts and belittling the mere mortals.
If you would be uncomfortable seeing your daughter kissing in public, tell me what would you be able to do at that time? Go up to her and slap her ? it wouldn't take back the kiss though!
Thats what I meant by the responsibility being on us to extract the essence of both the cultures and making it a part of our and our children's life. To preempt anything that would draw us away from our children and if we have strong family bonds and respect we as parents would understand rather than just react.
Anyways, I hate sitting on a bandwagon and blowing trumpets and trying to prove somebody as inferior.........if that is what you feel, one should not make any country in the west as their home........however where would you go if you saw people kissing in public in India? You would not want to believe that though. Try the discotheques in the metros, you would wish they had settlements on Mars.

Ok yaar, don't thanking anyone, lakin looking like BL taking initiative and thanking CDs on other post about CD ranking.
The 'sincereity' and guts aple paas hai for social work. Apla basement is rented out to one immigration co who is sending new immigrants every month time and every last immie (reading that well, every last immie) who is to be coming to stay in basement and who is wanting to work at job, I have placed in office jobs in financial cos (and of late in one cos called XM satellite radio. Last 4 peoples have been placed there), albeit at entry level with anywhere from 14-18 dollar per hour. Better than fact. job. Apun ko kuch nahin milta hai in return except maybe chai, coffee yaan ladoo from their first paycheque. Apla samaj me this is better way to help people than to being moderator on CD. Lakin har apne aap ko apla.
Thanks for thinking that apun knowing languages well. Looking like u r having more confidence in apun than apun having in apun at least where languages concerned hai.
