Living in Brampton, Working near DVP Eglinton. Wondering if there is any way to avoid the dreaded DVP?

I tried taking transit yesterday. Used GO train to Union, subway to Broadview and then bus. Took almost two hours, thanks to snow. While return, boarded GO train from Bloor. Even during non-snow days, this may not be a good option. Also, GO has not a very good frequency.

I have stared and naviagted endlessly on GO website and TTC map, but cannot see any practical solution to travel such large distance.

And for sure, I do not want to relocate

Option 1 - Try Don Mills as opposed to DVP
Option 2 - Try Brampton Transit to Finch Subway and the TTC. It would still take you a good 2 hrs.
Option 3 - Relocate, but oh... you don't want to move... so not an option.

meghal bhai,

standing or sitting for 2 hrs on TTC or GO transit is 100 times better than driving you car at 1mile per hour:car . It sucks big time!! man..In the bus you can at least read a book, look at chics, do office work, look again at chics..in that order:D

i dread when i am asked to visit clients after 3pm in the evening.
If you leave your office after 4 or 4:30PM over 401highway..you know you are in a mess:down:
you just join a seemingly endless lines of cars, zillion trucks, each driver trying to outmaneour the other, giving the look:announce: (sometimes the finger):ylsuper: for the errant driver..you name it..you have a broadway playing on the higway...all the while you sit in your car..stop..go..stop..go...thinking if traffic in bangalore was any worse or better..

welcome to the world of car commutters!!
