Don't worry about your skills.

Everyone ends up working as pizza delivery person, gas attendant, supermarket clerk, genral laborer or flyer delivery guy.

WE ARE WHAT WE PREACH!!

DesiTiger and NorthAlberta are talking reality.....take it or leave it.....Everyone comes to Canada with high hopes and thinking their US experience will do wonders in Canada but things are not as rosy as they seem.

Comprehension, obviously, isn't everyone's forte.:D :D

Well,

There is definitely a difference between sarcasm and positive sarcasm.

I believe we are what we think, not what we preach. If it is not the case all politicians would have been good guys.

I firmly believe that if you are focussed on your goal, you will find your way out. Only thing is it may take few months which I dont mind.

Politicians don't preach. They lie - there is a difference. Only those who ACTUALLY believe - Preach. ;)

Hi Ritu Joshi,
You will have to work ur way up and will have to look hard. But if you do that - I am sure, you will find something. It may take some time. You can get some short-term contracts to start with.
As with your husband, he has a lot of very good experience. He should NOT mention that he managed/developed the project from offshore. He can claim that it was on-shore and thereby gain over 1.5 years (dont have to be truthful) of Canadian Experience.
He should also try for Ontario Government Jobs. They hire Project Managers from time to time. You have to extrapolate your experience and talk big in interviews - but at the same time u need to back it up if needed. That works.
For Ontario Govt jobs --> http://www.gojobs.gov.on.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK
Keep applying, you may find talking to a wall - but you never know - when it will click. Be POSITIVE.
CGI is a good company and may require Seibel skills.
Ask your husband to send me an Email. One of my friends is an IT Recruiter. Will see - if something works out. But you should start well before you land in Toronto. Thatway also you will get some idea of the market as well as may be a good job at hand as well.
Best Wishes

Hi Manasvi,
Well looks like there are still quite a few positive thinkers in this group like you , shaibalbose, naudurivsm, smiley etc.

Shaibalbose, Can I please have your email Id so that I can communicate with you.

naudurivsm, If I can get your email as well it will be of great help.

DesiTiger,
If I may , it says in your signature that you are from Kansas City USA. So assuming that you are in usa, how can you draw conclusions about canada. Looks like you are \"PREACHING\" your wrong philosophy.
I will give you another group of people who Preach... Fake Swamijis...
enjoy.
