Hi,
Here is some of the relevant details:
I have an IT experience of 1.5 yrs in Java/SAP BW/ Oracle in USA and 1 year experience in VB in India. I am Sun Certified too.
My Husband has 11 yrs of experience in IT of which last 6 yrs are in USA. He also has 7 months experience in Canada and managing the same project from offshore for another 8 months. He has completed his certification in Java, Siebel and PMI. He has work experince in Siebel, Java,Oracle,VB in technical side and Project Lead/Project Manager in soft skill side.
We are not sure what to expect in canada, if somebody can throw light on any other skills which we need to work on before coming to canada, it will be of great help.
One thing is for sure, we are ready to work hard and we want to try out our luck in canada.

We will find a way or we will make one
Don't worry about your skills.
Everyone ends up working as pizza delivery person, gas attendant, supermarket clerk, genral laborer or flyer delivery guy.

Thanks for all the response. Its so cool to see 2 people with very diverse comments.
Naudurivsm , I am also thinking of starting my job search from USA and if things line up will go and attend interview.
NorthAlberta - I feel it is much better to do some voluntary work and gain some work experience rather than deliver Pizza or being a gas attendant. I am sure there is no dearth of voluntary job in canada. But then it is individual choice (and a Financial One too!!)
Smiley thanks for the wesites. I heard that workopolis is not a very reliable site..is it true???

Microsoft - Which end of the stick do you want today?
DesiTiger and NorthAlberta are talking reality.....take it or leave it.....Everyone comes to Canada with high hopes and thinking their US experience will do wonders in Canada but things are not as rosy as they seem. Try your luck anyways....and RituJoshi, u please start looking for voluntary jobs yourself first if you do not like delivering pizza or being a gas attendent......(boost canadian economy, find voluntary jobs today!!!!!)......EASIER SAID THAN DONE
