It seems to me that new immigrants from india are all highly educated (MBA, CA, M.Tech etc.). I am having only a 3 year diploma. Coming to Canada by the end of this year. I am worried whether I will be isolated/ignored in desi circles as desis have a contempt (?) for less educated desis.
You may be in professional circles but not social circles but that would be with everyone and all countries. Nothing special to desis. It is like a guy with employment in a BIG business party where everyone is trying to increase theri business circles and knowing who a guy who is an employee does not have much a benefit. So you might find people not sticking to you once they know you are an employee ..
But in social cricles you should be okay ...

Yeah they do it. Offcourse what did you expect.

"I always ask that of all my prey."
"I just like the sound of it."

I am sure I'll get flamed for this...
"Anti-Desi" - I am starting to become your fan
Your comments sound harsh, but I share your views.
Now, to the "Skeptical" person...personally, I don't care what degree you have, I have acquaintances of varying demographics and we all seem to get along just fine. So, don't worry too much and stay confident. You'll do good. And I am sure there are plenty of people who don't care what education you have as much as who and what you are.
