My share of the Story

By sintl

Hello Everyone

First off let me start off by saying this. Success story is a success story no matter what field u feel u r successful in. The reason I say that is, my success story is in a field which is not appreciated by all for whatever reason and I respect your right to have an opinion.

Came to US to do my master's and for the first 2 years wondered if I did a mistake by coming to US. Greatest country supposedly in the world, richest country and I was living the average, best of worst and worst of best lifestyle. Saw my uncle living a supposedly successful life by world's standards, having two cars Toyota and Honda. But rarely saw him spending time with his two year old at that time. The two year old was always in day care seemed like. Wife worked in some health care industry and both were heading in two diff directions. I looked at my dad who is very successful in India, a multi millionaire now, and looked back at my life to see that he was always there for me when I was young and we had dinner together everyday and was always with family.

Sure I thought times have changed so may be what my uncle is doing is the way to go. But surely I did not want his lifestyle specially the way he spent his time away from his kid.

Got introduced to the Quixtar business and was bombarded with a lot of negative feedback from best friends and such. But I wanted to see why some people were excited about it and so I went to their meetings few times to see why is that they say they are different. I liked what they taught, God, Family, Job, and Business. Liked the way they treated their spouses and thought that even if the money is bad at least I can be around people that stand for something

Started my business after one year of checking them out in spite of my parents asking me not to because of feedback given to them by my "SUCCESSFUL UNCLE" and my best friends because I felt something was right about them.

Well the business took good amount of effort. Worked hard at it for five years and here we are. Me, my wife and two kids. I am retired now from working at a job and I did that when I was 29. Was with my wife when we had our first child and when we had our second one. Spend time traveling around. When we go to India we go for two to three months. Have a great lifestyle. Lots of people said they would not get involved in this and that I am an idiot and such. I don’t blame them, because I would have said the same if I did not know the whole truth and if I was misinformed as they were. But now one would have to convince me before I can get them into my team because they choose the people that I work with. Earlier I was like I will take what all I can get. Amazing how things have changed.

We will be closing in on a Condo that we are renting now, in a month or so and since Canada has not tax benefits on mortgage payments, we are buying the condo cash down. Bought family van cash down. Really living a life that lot of people don’t even know exists. A maid comes in once a week to have our home cleaned.

I am not sharing my story to see if I can get someone into my business although I am open to that. The reason I am sharing is because I have seen the success stories section for the first time but also because I want to let you know that North America has opportunities and where there is opportunity there is never security. I am not saying that if u r not in Quixtar then you can’t have this lifestyle. What I am saying is if u r willing to work hard opportunities comes your way and u will make it in some endeavor that you take up and put your heart and mind to. What I am saying is sitting in front of TV everyday and spending time during weekends with friends and gossiping like many of my friends do, will not get u some place.

If u r willing to work, u have at least a chance to make it. Because u miss 100% of the shots u don’t take. We come all the way from India for a reason and I would love to see our entire fellow Asians make it big. There are many who have not only in my business but also in a lot of areas. We are a hard working breed and we don’t know how to lose. Let’s not get into the comfort zone of two mediocre cars and one three bed room home and settle for less. When u can achieve the best why settle for second best.

Love
Fellow Indian
