Indian Americans Honor Supreme Court Justice Jerome Murphy

Samir Chopra, President – Elect of Indian Americans of New York, recently honored at a ceremony at the La Bottega restaurant in New York the Honorable Jerome Murphy for Supreme Court. Judge Jerome Murphy is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School, former Justice for Island Park and a distinguished graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the proud father of 7 children and has over 25 years experience handling legal disputes. Samir Chopra said “Judge Murphy is an eminent member of the Bar as he understands both the business and legal issues in complex situations. Most important he is highly ethical, educated and aligned with the Indian American community which is strongly pro family, pro-business and staunch supporters of higher education.”

Samir Chopra, has been recognized as “Who’s Who is America”; A former employee of the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Samir is also a marathon runner and triathlete; past recipient of the International Walter Upjohn Award and previously served as Director of the South Asian Bar Association, Trustee of the Hindu Center in New York and Director of the Indian American Committee, after completing his education at Emory University, INSEAD (France) and Harvard. He has been honored by the United States Senate, United States Congress and the all three of the last Governors of the State of New York.
